30 THINGS TO DO IN CONSTANTIA IN WINTER

1.Taste your way through Constantia Valley Wine Route

Spend the afternoon sampling wines in the oldest wine making region in the Cape. Right on the city’s doorstep, the Constantia Valley is home to some of the oldest and most prestigious farms in the country. All 10 farms are close together, meaning you can hop from one to the other with minimum fuss, but we would recommend taking two to three days to really explore the area properly. Each farm has its own unique selling point and charm, but one thing they all have in common is fantastic wine and superb attention to detail.

Once you’re done, be sure to quench your thirst at Green Vine Eatery, which you more than likely got a bird’s eye view of while zipping your way across Silvermist.

These soups are available in single servings @R85, or – if you can’t choose – served as a trio of smaller servings @R90. Each of these soups can be perfectly paired with one of Constantia Glen’s wines.

When the original Steenberg Developers, Johnnic, broke ground in 1994, they had a vision in mind to create the premier golf estate in the country. For most, this vision was hard to comprehend and to visualise the transformation of a working farm filled with wetlands into a golf estate must have been impossible. However, Steenberg Golf Estate’s reputation as the premier golf estate in South Africa exceeded even the developer’s expectations.+27 (0)21 713 223317thraw
